3 Updates in One Day? END OF THE WORLD!

Tue Nov 24, 2009, 6:26 PM
So yeah I finally posted something.

Also the story, nothing special, it's more of a 3 page teaser than an actual story.

Cookie if you guess what TFI stands for.

But I'm getting ready to head out of town so spent tonight finishing up a few things to get them posted before leaving.

Whoot.

Screw you Chaos

Fri Oct 23, 2009, 9:40 AM
So, I got Dissidia: Final Fantasy recently, and I got a PSP to play it on.

And for the record, can I just put in Zidane being a game breaking is freaking glorious. Grand Lethal is just.... so insanely fun to use, it's actually how I wound up killing Chaos.

Then I got to Inward Chaos.

He appears to be using the same attacks so I'm not entirely sure what happened and why he's now suddenly throwing me around like it's nothing. Well the thing is his first form, I can kick his first form's tail in just a few seconds.

Second form the trouble starts in he gains two new attacks, both of which I can dodge but suddenly I start dieing and well honestly a lot of the deaths are to stupid mistakes, but the majority so far have just been the game randomly deciding "No you can't win yet." I mean, usually when I hit people with Grand Lethal they die, or at least take damage. But sometimes my attack just goes straight through him, and he uses an attack that hits the entire stage in return and deals 9999 damage. Ow.

Oh, he has a lot of those. For some reason anytime he steals my bravery even if I only have 500 to steal he immediately jumps to 9999 bravery and starts launching 9999 damage attacks. I guess I shouldn't be to surprised. The entire Inward Chaos level consisted of fighting all the characters using abilities that don't work that way for players, and basically every match was a "you get hit once you die" fight. So guess that means I'm just gonna have to memorize every single attack Chaos has till I can dodge all of them.

That or just go grind AP till I know Meo Twister air and just cheese the hell out of him. Oh I do love playing as Zidane.

Though right now my plan B. If I don't beat him today, well tomorrow is the exp bonus day and I have that mage girl from FFXI unlocked. Apparently, she can just juggle Chaos in the air nonstop with aero spells so I just might level her up to deal a respectable amount of damage and kill him with her.

But then again, I really want to beat the game with Zidane, because it was quite fun to go through and kill every villain in the game with monkey boy. (FFIX is my favorite Final Fantasy so I just like to squeal when Zidane does something awesome and/or silly.)

Actually though speaking of villains.

Screw you too Golbez. I'm not sure why, but I have a lot harder time fighting Golbez than any of the other villains. Even the judge guy who is a purely original character cause the game he came from does not exist is nothing compared to Golby. Who knows maybe I just suck at fighting Golbez. Well I did manage to kill his level 105 boss battle, it just took slightly more tries than I will be willing to admit to.

You know, before I got to the Inward Chaos arc I was starting to think I was good at this game.

....

And I should probably level up some more people, I think after my level 100 Zidane my next highest level character is like a level 15 Terra.... or maybe Cloud or Squall might be 16.

Meh I'm leveling a mage next. So Terra, Kefca, Kuja, Ultimecia or that girl from FFXI. Probably the last one as she seems to move faster and I <3 speed based characters. Which is kinda given since I spam Zidane.

On a side note though, I must say I rather liked the storytelling of the game. There were certain characters who I couldn't really stand much who are all a bit less.... annoying this time around.

Though on the other hand Kefca is kinda scary now that he's not an 8 bit sprite, and I swear he's actually the Joker.

Never mind.

It just took a Grand Lethal to the face. Chaos is dead.

Team Fortress 2

Mon Sep 21, 2009, 2:12 PM
So, I have Team Fortress 2 now. I finally got the Orange Box after saying I'd eventually buy it since it first came back.

Portal and Team Fortress 2 are both much fun. :3 I haven't tried Half-Life 2 yet as I've haven't torn myself off the other two games yet but I actually enjoyed Half-Life 1 so it should be fun.

It actually feels rather weird. I've always said I hate First Person Shooters and to now suddenly find three in a row that I like feels kind of weird. Maybe I don't hate FPS games but just hate mediocre piles of grit and brown that make up at least 70% of the FPS games out there. Doesn't help that most of them just rip off the last best seller to reproduce the same crap over and over again.

Actually that kinda happens with a lot of genres.

So anyways, right back to Team Fortress 2, I has it, and looking to play more. I won't be on tonight because of school obligations, but my evening class has been canceled tomorrow so I might be able to play then. Getting to the point if anyone wants to swap Steam names or something and we can poke each other when online.

I play Medic most of the time so I can be a decent ally. ^.^ I'm trying to learn to play Scout as a secondary but I haven't quite gotten the hang of dodging bullets while bonking things. I can do one or the other but not both, and well I noticed if you screw up it doesn't take many bullets to down the scout. Which is actually one of the reasons I like TF2.

Your character can die.

Oh sure you can die in other games but well. Some games you can take a rocket launcher to the face and only lose half your health and then regenerate it just by not getting hit again for a few seconds. I mean I get the main character is supposed to be special or stronger or something, but if you become a one man walking tank well, it kind of takes out the challenge and sense of achievement when you win. I mean some of the games still present the challenge but well. If I can dominate the computer in a FPS something is seriously wrong. :p

So yeah as mentioned earlier I play Medic so I tend to die, because for some reason everyone shoots the medic first.

Though at least I've killed quite a few spies with a bonesaw. I developed this habit of bonesawing anyone that requests healing from me, if they don't drop dead they get healed. So far it's worked pretty well. Actually was kinda funny in one game I played I got a message saying I was dominating whoever was playing spy on the other team, and the next time they infiltrated the base and saw me they turned around and ran. Yeah, that didn't give them away or anything. Also I've noticed the needle gun is actually quite deadly. Being a Medic is fun.

Anyways I was talking about poking people to play and stuff so I guess I should post my steam name or something for people who want to friend me huh?
